ParkMobile provides faculty, staff, students, and visitors with a quick, convenient, and contactless way to pay for parking in designated ParkMobile locations on the Blacksburg campus.
ParkMobile is not valid in every campus parking space or lot. It may only be used in areas that are clearly identified by ParkMobile signage and a designated zone number. Zone numbers vary by location, so customers should always review the posted signage and confirm that they have entered the correct zone before starting a parking session.

ParkMobile payment does not authorize parking in spaces that are not included within a designated ParkMobile zone. It is also not valid in restricted spaces or areas, including:
- 24-hour restricted spaces
- Service vehicle spaces
- Reserved spaces
- ADA-accessible spaces, unless specifically marked for ParkMobile use
- Any lot or space without ParkMobile signage
Customers are responsible for parking within the boundaries of the ParkMobile zone selected and following all posted parking regulations.

Daily Parking Permits
Customers who need to park in areas that are not designated as ParkMobile zones may purchase a daily parking permit through the Virginia Tech Parking Portal.
Daily permits are available online at: https://virginiatech.t2hosted.com/Account/Portal
A daily parking permit is valid only in the parking areas authorized by the permit purchased. Customers should review the permit information and campus parking signage before parking.
Visitor Parking
Parking regulations are enforced on the Blacksburg campus Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
During these hours, visitors must use one of the following parking options:
- Pay through ParkMobile in a designated ParkMobile zone
- Purchase a daily parking permit through the Parking Portal and park in your affiliated parking area.
- Use a Departmental Visitor issued by the department you are visiting if applicable.
ParkMobile should only be used when the parking area is clearly marked with ParkMobile signage. Parking in an undesignated lot or space may result in a parking citation, even when a ParkMobile session has been purchased.

Virginia Tech has partnered with ParkMobile to provide a convenient, contactless electronic payment option for parking on the Alexandria campus. ParkMobile can be used in both surface lots. (ParkMobile does not work in the parking garage)

Visitor Parking
- Parking at the Alexandria campus is enforced 24/7. Visitors must use the ParkMobile app to pay hourly or daily charges. If parking in the garage, visitors must take a ticket upon entry and pay upon exit, as ParkMobile is not available in the garage.

How to use ParkMobile
1. Create a free ParkMobile account
- Visit the ParkMobile site or
- Download the ParkMobile app in the App Store or Google Play.
- If you already have a ParkMobile account, check to ensure your profile is up-to-date.
2. Add vehicle information to profile
- Add your license plate number.
- Using multiple cars? Up to 5 license plates can be added to your profile.

4. Park in any space or meter marked with a ParkMobile sign or sticker
- Map of ParkMobile parking zones.
- Parking is enforced on the Blacksburg campus Monday–Friday, from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.
- Parking is enforced at the Alexandria location Monday–Sunday, 24 hours a day (24/7)
5. Select parking zone, duration
- Enter your zone number by referring to nearby signage or using the map within the ParkMobile app or website.
- You can save "favorite" and recently used parking zones.
- Select duration of time you would like to park.
6. Confirm your parking session information and start parking
- Parking enforcement personnel will validate your campus parking status using the ParkMobile system.
7. Need to extend your parking session?
- Parking can be extended remotely.
- If you opt into notifications, text messages, or emails, you will receive a notification to extend your parking duration.
- You can set customizable parking expiration alerts.
ParkMobile can be used without downloading the app. To do so, visit the ParkMobile website, enter the zone number, and continue to pay for parking without downloading the app. Users without access to wifi or a smartphone can pay for parking by calling the toll-free number listed on the ParkMobile signs or meters in your area.
