Parking impacts: Oct. 17 Hokies football game against Boston College

To accommodate the increased volume of vehicular traffic on campus, the following parking and traffic changes will be in place for the Thursday, October, 17 Hokies Football game against Boston College. Vehicles must be removed from these lots and roads or be subject to towing.

Tuesday, Oct. 15

All Vehicles must be removed from the following lots by 5 p.m.:

  • Hahn Hurst Lot and the Basketball Extension Lot
  • VT Engage Lot (417 Clay Street)

Wednesday, Oct. 16

Commuter, graduate, and resident student vehicles parked along the outside perimeter of the Duck Pond Road Lot (the Cage) must be relocated by 5 p.m. All resident student vehicles must be removed from the Stadium and Chicken Hill Parking Lots by 7 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 17

The following lots and roads will be restricted to no additional parking after 1 p.m. All vehicles must be removed from these lots and roads by 2:10 p.m.:

  • Ag. Quad Lot
  • Architecture Annex–Media Lot
  • Basketball Extension Lot
  • Beamer Way
  • Coliseum Lot (located off Washington Street and Beamer Way)
  • Davidson Hall Lot
  • Duck Pond – Overflow Lot (located off Oak Lane)
  • Engel/Cheatham Hall Lot
  • Food Sciences Lot
  • Hahn Lot
  • Health and Safety Lot (located off Beamer Way)
  • Litton–Reaves/Wallace Hall Lots (located off Washington Street and Duck Pond Drive)
  • Lower Stanger Lot
  • Maintenance Lot (located off Southgate Drive)
  • Oak Lane - First Intersection (3237 Oak Lane) the first lot on the right (2575 Oak Lane)
  • Parking Services Lot
  • Price Hall Lot
  • Rec Field Lot (off Beamer Way)
  • Smithfield Lot (located off Smithfield Road)
  • Squires Lot
  • Track/Field House Lot (on Beamer Way)
  • Veterinary Medicine Lot (north side only)
  • Washington Street
  • Wright House Lot

For faculty and staff who need to remain on campus after 2:10 p.m., parking is available in the Perry Street Garage, the North End Center Garage, or in spaces around the Drillfield. Students who need to stay on campus after 2:10 p.m. should use the Perry Street Garage or the center section of the Duck Pond Lot. The perimeter of the Duck Pond Lot is reserved for RVs.

Vehicles that park in the North Academic District areas will need to be moved back into a resident lot by 7 a.m. Friday, October 18, to avoid being ticketed.
