Current Projects

The Town of Blacksburg, in close coordination with Virginia Tech, has begun construction on the Blacksburg Transit Multi-Modal Transit Facility (MMTF). When completed, the MMTF will become the transit hub for campus. The facility will accommodate ridership waiting/transfers and will serve multiple modes of transportation. It will include an air conditioned rider waiting area with information services, the Hokie Bike Hub, meeting spaces, and offices for Blacksburg Transit and the Sustainable Transportation Department. Seventeen bus loading/unloading slips will be positioned around two bus loops east and west of the Perry Street Parking Garage. Learn more about the project.
